Title: Surprised Approval

Review: After having the Zync for a little over a year I applied for a Delta Gold Skymiles and was approved for 6500. 3 days later I applied at Costco for this card upon signing up for membership and was approved for 1200. I imagine I'll be using this card more often than the Delta Skymiles but I'll keep both. I prefer simple rewards redemptions so this card will be perfect for that. At the time of approval my EX score was around 668. The only baddie was a late pay that had just turned 2 years old. I think being an Amex charge card user for a year helped my approvals for the revolving cards.
Although, not the absolute best rewards card available, it is still pretty good for those who may qualify.

Title: My First Approval After BK Dropped!
Date Reviewed: 2010-03-18 23:52:16 | Recommended?: Yes
Review: I got approved after having a BK drop off last month. My Experian has 1 current car loan, never late, 2 1/2 yrs old. And I have a 9 year old paid off car loan. I also have a 5 year Mervyns card which will be paid off this month. I also have 1 negative paid off Niagara waters collection which was $60 and 1 year old. If anything I thought this one negative would deny me from getting this card. My Experian score was 700 at the time of applying. I had my Experian frozen at the time so Amex initially declined me due to not being able to get a credit report but after I called them and unfroze it they had me wait on the phone while they ran it and only asked me what my annual income was and how long employed. 1 minute later she said I was approved with a $1200 limit. Boy was I surprised!
Title: Nice Card With Nice Rewards

Review: Recently approved for this card. I was observing this card from last one year and when my score crossed 700 this February, I decided to apply for this card and got approved.
This is my first AMEX card. My scores were 740(Experian) and 729(Equifax). I hope they made this decision based on my scores because I didn't mention any household income or my employment status. CL is $2000. I recommend this card to anyone because of the great cash back offer.
Title: Decent Rewards

Review: Had this card for 6 months in 2006-- well worth it, high limit initially approved, great rewards. Â This was before I was unable to pay due to hardship, but received free airline tickets before that. Â
Title: SO FAR, SO GOOD....

Review: I already had Delta Skymiles, so I decided to apply for the Costco True Earnings. The application process is a little different, as Costco has to verify your membership, but still very quick. Got a call from Amex three days after I applied, quick approval over the phone and a very nice credit line. Had the card seven days later.
