Title: Providian Is A Ripoff!

Review: I had the platinum card about a year ago and after making 3 payments on it, decided to pay it off and rip it up. My worst problem with Providian were the payments. I would mail in the minimum payment at least a week before it was due and get stuck with late payment fees because they said it was received after the due date. I tried to get this problem solved, and was only transferred back and fourth and put on hold. What a waste of time and money! BEWARE!!!

Title: Providian Does More Harm Than Good!

Review: I agree with Kathy...I ALWAYS pay my bills on time, and for some reason the US Post Service always delivered my payments late to Providian. Do not fall for these guys unless you want to get your credit record and pocketbook (with late fees) in the RED!!

Title: Apr Too High

Review: I have been with Providian over 2 years with a high credit limit, good payment record, But I can't use this card because of the High Apr, and my request for a lower apr was refused, so Bye, Bye Providian.

Title: Pay Bills On-line

Review: I have been a cardholder for approx 5 years and my account has never been charged a late fee. I always paid credit card via their on-line pay service b4 the due date. Within the pass 12 months my Apr has been lower and credit limit raised by $1500 dollars.

Title: Good Start

Review: Good card to improve credit.  Paying online through their site is a bonus.  Plus the free monthly FICO score tracker from Transunion helps to track credit scores.  Customer service is outsourced, but helpful.

Title: No Problems

Review: I've been with providian for 7 yrs and never had my apr raised or been charged a late fee. I have a high credit limit and a low apr and am constantly getting balance transfer offers for 1.99%. I pay online and it is always credited the next day and it is nice to that you can see your FICO score from transunion updated once a month. I know that there customer service is outsourced and sometimes it is hard to understand them but they always been nice.
