Review: Wanting to get out of subprime cards, I applied for this card. I applied on-line (not sure if this is still offered). I was given the "You will be notified in 10 days of our decision." A week later, I received a denial letter. I called and asked for reconsideration. They approved me for $1,000. This was two years ago and randomly I was given several increases and just yesterday National City surprised me with a letter "Congratulations, we have increased your credit line to $7,000." National City is a very nice card! They are easy to work with and very friendly. I have never has a single problem with this card. Love it!

Review: Good day all,
I have been banking with National City for approx 6 years. I have several accounts with them including my mortgage. I held a secured Visa for approx 12 mos with a $1500.00 limit.
I applied for a regular Visa approx 6 mos into the secured account with no success. I used the secured for small purchases, paying off in full before due date.
I called into customer service to inquire about having my secured account "graduate" to unsecured. No dice!
National City does not graduate their secured cards.
I applied for the regular Visa again, this time with success. I love National Cities rewards program as I earn rewards from using my debit/check card. I got a whopping load of points when I opened my mortgage as well. I linked this card to my debit card and was instantly awarded 8,000 points. I could not link the secured Visa to National City points.
No AF, APR 9-19%, 0% balance transfer (not sure for how long)
National City has retained a satisfied customer.
