Review: I applied for this card on-line via a pre-approved offer about 3 years ago. I received a no-preset spending limit and was approved on the spot. My credit scores averaged around 740. There is no annual fee, and my APR has stayed at a consistent 9% for 3 years! Rewards are nice. Currently, I get one point per dollar spent. They can be redeemed for merchandise, charity, travel or cash back to your account statement, which in my opinion is the best deal. Merchandise seems to be marked higher than listed on sites like Amazon. So you could get the cash back and then buy it elsewhere for a better price. Account management is fast and easy, as with all USAA's services. Wonderful product!

Review: Thanks to FG and ColoNative, I have joined the USAA Federal Savings Bank FSB family. A few days ago I was online qualified for a USAA World Mastercard with Total Rewards. Today I was approved for a USAA Total Rewards American Express Card. It was a manual addition due to the fact I was a new member at USAA. My scores were TU 726 EQ 697 and EX Unk. USAA Total Rewards allows me to acquire merchandise or cash at a varied rate up to 2.25 groceries and gas points per dollar based on the total spending. Also, the rates are 10.9%.

Review: Been banking with USAA since 2004 when I joined the Army. Applied for there Classic Platinum Master card back in 05 was approved with a CL 0f 500 when I was still young, they eventually upgraded me to there total rewards MasterCard CL 1500. And that's when my credit troubles began in 05, I did what most irresponsible young army adults do. I had a blast with it. When I was 22 reality set in and I started to repair my credit only after the bank killed my cards. I was down to the low 500s on all three credit reports in late 08. So in June 09 applied for First Premier Centennial got a CL of 400, then I applied for Orchard bank Platinum got a CL of 300. This year got a Capitol One Platinum Cash Back card with 500 CL. I figured I'd give USAA a shot and see if they trusted me yet my scores are as of 07/17/2010 634 TU/629 EF/EX 634 (TU and EF came from myFICO.com). Well they didn't trust me with this particular card can't blame them, but after I got the instant decline it said I was approved for the USAA Classic Platinum Master Card at 500 CL. The same card and CL they gave me back in 05 so at least they've smiled on me somewhat. If I remember correctly last time I had this card it only took six months to get my first Credit increase and program upgrade back in 05. My hope is that if I use this card right history will repeat its self (without the bad this time) and maybe in six months I can at least get back to their World Platinum Master Card, and maybe in a year or two finally get my hands on this one. PS. I do all banking, investments, and insurance with them. If you meet the criteria to get in, then you should have been in like yesteryear.

Review: Didn't really expect to get approved for this card but got it with $4k limit and 15.9% apr. Think I will take the advice from the members on this site and sit on the cards I've got for awhile. Recived Disc for 3K, Best Buy store for 2.2K and this one in the last 30 days. Sock drawer time for the orchard and first primier. Thanks to all for posting comments and advice!!These are my scores before all the apps and new tradelines. EX is plus score other two are true FICO. TU is a little higher as it doesn't have the one baddie of a medical collection of $114.00.EX = 663TU = 738EQ = 672

Review: So 4 days ago I posted a review on the BOA Accelerated Rewards American Express that I was approved for $10k... I decided to refinance my car through USAA,(they pull equifax for everything) and I didn't know that once they pull your credit report they use it to determine ALL products you are available for. Well, after being approved for the loan at the lowest rate possible may I add( I love USAA) I was given a number to call to finish the refinance. The CSR told me there were 3 other products I qualified for with that credit pull... She said that I was approved for the USAA World Master card with a limit of $9k. Well, goodness although I've always wanted an Amex, if I would've known this, I would've never applied for the Amex. So I now have a Visa, Mastercard, and Amex. I'm def not looking for anything else. At the age of 22, with about 4 years AAoA I'm now gardening my credit. It's great that I only had to use one inquiry for my Equifax and Bank of America pulled Experian. I kinda got to double dip. I mean who would say no to $9k that you didn't even apply for or get dinged for. My Equifax score is a 721. Thanks for reading! (CSR's are AWESOME)

Review: Great low interest rates, superior service. I have had a USAA card for several years and they have provided outstanding fraud protection, fantastic interest rates, good rewards and great customer service. Everyone in the military who is eligible should get one. You do need to meet the eligibility requirements.

Review: USAA is a great company to do business with. I have many of their products, but none of their credit cards. Applied online instant approval! $25,000 Credit line 8.9% APR EX 790 EQ 788 TU 875 This will be my last card for a while since I recently applied and approved for 3 new tier 1 products.

Review: Nice starting limit applied yesterday instant decision of $15,000.00 have been a member of USAA for 2 years didnt even know they had credit cards, applied as a fluke and impressed. CSR said I can request a increase in 2 months, but the card is pretty generic in terms and rewards with 12.99% APR but if your looking for a card with nice CL I would say this is your bet. I feel all CU have nice limits

Title: Instant Dec W/ Generous CL

Review: I've had a USAA checking acct since I was active duty (10 years ago), and after reading several FG user reviews of this card, I went ahead and applied online a little over a month ago. Received an instant decision OL: $10K @ 13.9%, with no annual fee and NO PENALTY APR! Was also given immediate access to $1K of my CL, as well as my acct #, pin & exp date. Haven't used the card though - primarily got it to build up my credit/credit worthiness... For now, at least. When I applied, my plus scores were: EX 748, EQ 748, TU 700; and my existing LOCs totaled $16K, w/ 11% utilized. No negative items on CR. USAA only pulls EQ, but they report to all 3 CB's. USAA's iPad app is also the BEST personal banking app out there. My ONLY negative comment about USAA/this card was the delivery time. I chose regular mail (free) vs. Paying $14 to expedite (no way), and it took exactly 14 days from the date I applied until the day it arrived in my mailbox. That was a bit much, but it's not like I was in a hurry to go shopping with it...

Title: And I Am Done

Review: After getting approved for a discover escape, I figured why not and was approved for this with $2000 cl. I am done and have the cards that will grow with me. I have used usaa for savings for years, but never thought about a cc with them since my scores were bad. Once again thanks for all the info on the site. credit scores mid to high 600's, have been undoing my errors for the past two years.

Review: Ok, I know, I know, I said I was going to stop applying for credit cards and garden, but I remembered I was holding out for this card until my scores matured more, well I took the plunge and was instantly approved for a credit line of $12,000.00 and an APR of 15.9% ! Pulled Equifax score 734! Now this time I mean it, LOL, no more credit cards I am done! But, I must admit I am glad I took the chance and did it! Thats a VERY nice starting credit line! ;)

Review: Since I am a veteran I decided to give this a shot. Prior to this my highest limit was $4,500 for a Discover More Card. I couldn't believe I was approved let alone for this much. If it weren't for F.G. I would have never been able to do this. Thank you very much!!! Most of my credit scores were in the low 700's. The one they pulled was EQ which was at 713. Congratulations, you're approved! You've been approved for a USAA Cash Rewards World MasterCard®. Please review your summary and find out what happens next. Review: Applied for the card and was approved. I have an open chapter 13 bankruptcy. Deposit was from my checking via ach payment online. I like this card because you have all the benefits from American Express at an annual fee of $35.00 No one will now that the card is secured other than you and American Express. You can also increase the limit with $50.00 deposits. Hope this information was helpful to the readers.

Title: Looking To Replace An Older Card
Date Reviewed: 2013-05-06 00:47:20 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Because my scores are a little higher now and I noticed I only had 2 inquires on my Equifax report, I wanted to apply for a card that would do a hard pull on EQ and decided to give this one a shot. On their official website there are some less than flattering reviews about this card. There are complaints about the customer service, payments being on hold when processing, holds of $100 when pumping gas and some frustrated customers that are left high and dry. I received an instant approval for $6000 with an APR of 16.9%. Not the greatest apr but my EQ score was a 702. My other cards apr's are around 15% so I will accept that as being fair for my situation. The rewards are supposed to be 2 points for gas and groceries and 1 point for everything else with a sign on bonus of 2500 after the first purchase. An important thing to consider though is your redemption rate. It takes 3500 points for a $25 gift card (.71%) or 3000 points for a $25 cash deposit (.83%). If you only use it for gas and groceries and earn 2 points per dollar ($1500 = 3000 points) then your redemption rate comes out to 1.67% earnings. My next challenge will be figuring out which stores AMEX has coded as 'grocery stores'. For example AMEX uses their own MCC (merchant category code) that defines a grocery store, one of being 5411. Places like Walmart, Target and Costco will be coded differently, to be defined as discount stores, etc. So I don't know how that will work out as far trying to use it for groceries. As far as trying to use it only for gas, I mentioned earlier that there are rumors of funds being put on hold and that seems to have an effect on the card balance and I imagine it would cause more problems if this card were used for "everyday use." I will probably hang onto it for a couple of years and then end my relationship with them, once I have an American Express card from American Express. I don't see myself having this card for 20 years, which is something I factor in when applying. I shouldn't be applying for anything else for the next couple years. Just long enough for all my inquires to fall off. If I write any more reviews in the near future it will be for existing cards.

Review: USAA pulled EQ. At first when I applied they gave me the message online that my application was under review. I called USAA a few times for updates and then checked online again and was approved for $10k. My EQ score at the time was in the 740's. Great customer service so far with the card, very happy!

Review: This is a great card to have. You do have to have some type of military affiliation, but it easy to qualify for, USAA is great customer service, easy to fund the card, easy to increase your credit line. They give some rewards, buyer protection, disputes handled easily. Highly recommend it.

Title: USAA Is Where It Is At.
Date Reviewed: 2016-06-08 17:55:16 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: USAA Credit Cards are the best on the market for a few reasons, but the absolute best is how easy it is to pay off your cards. Especially if you have USAA Checking. Even if you are low on cash you can set up automatic payments to pay the minimum. Their customer service is top notch. I've unfortunately have had some issues that USAA not only caught before I did, but protected me from more unwanted charges. Not to mention their willingness to go above and beyond helping me out with shipping cards to me no matter where I am in the world due to work. It takes awhile for the card to get to me, but this is not USAA's fault. Again, this due to my work. I have nothing but good things to say about USAA. Are there some people that have issues? Of course, but I wonder how much of their issues are caused by themselves and not USAA. Their cashback program on this card isn't the best in the industry, but the perks of having USAA behind you are worth the loss of .5% - 1% for a cash back card. Also, my interest rate is much lower than if I had gone with another company. If I ever find I have to carry a balance I know I am getting the best deal I can get for a rewards card.

Title: USAA Limitless Cashback Rewards Visa Signature Card

Review: Top notch card from USAA. Allows the earning of cash rewards at the rate of 2.5% on purchases as long as you have a direct deposit of at least $1,000 per month. The card is relationship based and is to encourage the military members to have money deposited with USAA. They also have a USAA Cash Back Checking that pays $0.10 cents per debit card swipe for purchases of at least $1.00... And more. Not open to the general public. Fico Scores 830 (300 to 850) and used my Mobile Android App to apply. Rates for purchases and cash advances 14.40%. Glad I applied as the rewards add up fast!!! :)

Title: USAA Is Great!

Review: I have had great experiences with USAA. I just was approved for this card yesterday, starting limit is $1000. This is great as its my first UNSECURED card with USAA. I have a Secured American Express for $3000, and a Secured Visa for $1500...The secured cards worked very well to establish myself with them...This card was sent pre approved to me in the mail...no hard pull on credit. I am very happy, and not concerned about the starting limit at all. I will pay in full just like my other 2 cards, as they will raise my limit for sure. They gave me no annual fee, and 1.5% cash back on all purchases. I also received all account information immediately, so I can use it on line for a purchase if I want to until the card comes. I choose expedited shipping, only $8, and it let me add an authorized user for free. I'm so grateful I can be a part of this great bank....thanks to my dad who was a SFC in the army...that's how I got in with them. I have my checking and savings with them also. Never a hold on payments, they post immediately and are available for use, as I pay with my USAA checking account. So soon I can move on from the secured cards...the future looks bright with USAA, an outstanding financial institution!
