Title: Purity Is Pure Extortion BEWARE

Review: One month for some reason I did not receive a bill from them - and forgot to make a payment. Upon realizing it a few weeks later, I immediately paid extra and was hopeful that this matter was over. Instead, they raised my rate from 9 to 30 percent. When I called to talk about it, they flat out refused to reconsider their decision - even though I've never been late with them or any other credit cards in my life. These people are dangerous - they look legitimate, but treat you like they're the mafia once you sign up with them. This is not an honest business - they make their money by trying to exploit your smallest misstep unlike regular credit cards. Stay away from them unless you want negative info in your credit report and 30% interest rate.

Title: I Just Received This Card

Review: I just received this card. I already have a Discover Titanium, BOA Rewards Signature, Chase Platinum. I will report back with customer service and such, but if anyone is familiar with this card please post it. Was received with a good CL and APR fixed at 9.9 with no fees to speak of.

Title: STATUS UPDATE
Date Reviewed: 2008-04-14 19:37:11 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I already have high limits on several cards, and one with no pre set spending limit. I received this card after a pre approval letter and received a $20,000 credit line. I went to the mailbox recently, and to my surprise was a letter from them stating that they had made an systems error and that the card limit had been updated to $30,000, weird. Has anyone had this happen. This is now my second highest credit line, and even though it's new, service has been great. I usually always pay my balances in full and rarely carry a balance, except when I went to Italy recently and took 2 months to pay.

Title: No Credit File- Yet FICO 734
Date Reviewed: 2008-04-15 16:49:25 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I wanted to drop an update about my application for the Purity Visa through the First National Bank of Omaha. I applied initially on 03/31/08 and was told a few days later I no credit file/nothing/no cards/no history. I was referred to Transunion. I have Credit Watch through Equifax and MyCreditKeeper with all 3 Bureaus scores updating each month or I can pull it myself whenever I get ready. So I did that (TU/734 Fico) but I called Transunion and spoke to a machine forever!!. Anyways, I called again today, got another CSR who told me the application online shows the apartment # was entered where the "House Address" line should also contain my apartment# instead of entered in the separate field. She changed this on 04/15/08 and told me to call back this afternoon because everything else matched up. What a TRAIN WRECK!!! If you are denied credit for an insufficient file, please question that credit card company and get as many details as possible. The agent at Purity Visa, made that 1 change and immediately my credit file came up

Title: Stay Away From Citibank

Review: Terrible Payment Options and Customer Service!!! Let me start from the very beginning: When I called to activate my card a service rep helped me and was very nice. As soon as he confirmed it was activated he tried to begin to sell me "payment protector insurance" basically a way for them to make more money (or in my case, make any money, because its a 0% interest for 12 months card). I told him I wasn't interested and he says, "Well its included in the card and when you get your first statement call and we will deactivate it" To which I reply, "Can't you just deactivate it now" and he says, "Well, you won't be able to realize the benefits if you quit now" and I retort, "I don't want this program, can you take it off my account or not?" By this point I can tell he's annoyed because they expect me to just agree with them and not think about the fact that my first statement will come one month from now meaning no matter what I will be giving them money for the program. So he says, "Yeah, I'll do it, you're done" and then HANGS UP ON ME. Hilarious. OK, now a couple weeks down the road I've got a pretty sizable balance on my card and I want to make a large payment. So I sign up online and plan to pay online like every other card I use. And instead of letting me pay with my debit card they have to access my account using the routing code and account number. Whatever. So I enter all my info and go to make a payment and the system tells me that I can't make a payment for 6 business days while they "access" my bank account to "verify" it. 6 business days???!?!?! What is this 1959? Do they need to teletype my account number in? Do they need to retrieve it from my bank via horse and carriage? It gets even better. So I call the number on the back of my card and I get a rep on the line and tell him that I want to make a phone payment and he tells me its going to be $14.95, ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Every other card I've ever had has let me make a phone payment for free. Here's their scheme: They assume you wait about a week in advance to sign up to pay your card online. The convenient 6 business day window will easily put you past your due date. Here is where the smart and dumb people diverge: The dumb people will wait past the due date for their account to clear and BAM! They gotcha. 0% expires the first month because of late payment, Hello 20% APR Hope you don't have a huge balance. The smart people will call to pay and realize that its either $14.95 or 20% on whatever balance they have. And that is that. The point is here to set up your online account ASAP and never, NEVER make a late payment. Enjoy.

Review: I have had two other cards with Barclays bank for about a year. Decided to apply for this one so I could get the hotel credits. Since I had two other cards, the instant approval didn't work, but I received an email three days later saying I was approved for a credit line of $1,500.combined with my other two cards, I have a total CL of $7,500 that can be juggled among the three cards by calling the credit department directly -- I like that feature! They told me it was to enable me to best take advantage of the rewards that I needed most at any given time. I have Travelocity, US Airways, and this Hotel card. They pulled Trans Union, my score was 678 after one other inquiry before this this month.

Review: Offered 0% APR Purchases for 15months. Applied online, instant approval. Got card today and was surprised with credit limit of $13,400, My highest was $12,100 with AMEX. So I guess this company is generous with credit limits.

Title: Only One?
Date Reviewed: 2010-04-10 21:40:01 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: It seems that I am the only holder of this credit card. I got this one around 18 months ago, the reason why I applied this card was stupid, really stupid. That time my credit score was a little more than 700, you can take it as 700. The credit length was 6 months. They approved me for a credit limit "500"... And they never increase that for me for the last 18 months unless I asked for an increase. The worst thing of this card is that every time if you wanna have some increase on your credit line, it's guarantee that you're going to have a hard pull. However, last month, the first time I seriously checked its reward program I realized that this card can be regarded as a 1% cash back card. So, this card is fine to me after all. The cash advance of this card is always 50% of the credit line and they're saying that the cash advance can be taken as a part of credit line, too. I doubt that and I don't want to test it for it never reports the sum of CL and cash advance to three BU. Anyway, this is technically the first credit card I applied in this country and I will keep it for good as an evidence of PhD memory.

Review: I received a pre-approval offer in the mail at the end of March. I applied on 3/24/11 received a pending approval 10-14 days message. I found out I was approved on 4/5/11. They pulled Experian 726 at the time. The Credit Limit is $9,000. It said I would receive the card in 7-10 days. I haven't seen any reviews for this bank on here yet. I know that they're one of the largest privately controlled banks in the country.

Title: Preselected Solicitation And Approval
Date Reviewed: 2011-08-16 21:07:09 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I've been getting these solicitations for months now, and decided to apply last week on 8/8. Said would take 2-4 weeks for decision. Received email today from FNBO, and approved for $15k initial credit line. I really didn't expect that one, coming off an approval from BOA last month. 0% until July 2012, and then 9.9% fixed for the life of the card. I really applied for the rate. 1 point per dollar spent. Pretty basic really, but i hear they are pretty good to deal with. Back to the garden for awhile.

Title: FNBO Bucks Back Pre-approved
Date Reviewed: 2011-09-21 13:23:38 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Received a pre-approval in the mail offering me a variable rate for purchases of 13.99% (best rate they have listed) and $1 for every dollar spent for cash rewards. Simple program with no annual fee. The online application said I would receive a letter in the mail in two to four weeks where I said no way am I getting a hard inquiry like this for a pre-approved, so I called them. It was approved. It provides an option with the card at 0% until April 2012 for purchases and 0% until September 2012 on Balance Transfers. FICO Scores at the time are Ex 776 Tu 796 Eq 804 and they pulled Ex. Upgraded to a Vision Visa Signature Card after twelve months with no-preset spending limit.

Title: Helping Family

Review: The time when your kids turn 18 and get their drivers license and want to start building credit. My daughter never wanted a secured card, so I looked into doing a joint account to start helping her build credit. But with all these inquiries I was afraid I wasn't gonna be approved, and didn't like how these secured cards worked either. SO I applied and got a response via e-mail (after 5 days) and said Congratulations you have been approved for the Sport Chalet VISA! I was so happy knowing that my daughter will now be able to start building her credit with out a secured card. And yes she knows the rules when managing credit or else it will be tooken away simple as that! Hahha, Also they gave use a $3,000 CL . Not that bad!

Review: Excitied to receive an invitiation to apply. As an existing First National Bank of Omaha Vision Visa Signature Card member, I applied and received approval. Purchase Apr is 14.99% and a FICO Score of 805. All card approvals are manual reviews so they took one day. Card ordered on a Friday and I received it on the next Tuesday. They pulled Equifax. Note, they have pulled Experian in my recent past. Rewards are cash in $25 amounts with varaible Rewards rates that go up to 5.00%. Received a CL increase at 6 months and 12 months automatically.

Title: Pre-approved Offer

Review: I received an offer for the FNBO Maximum Rewards Visa in the mail back in April...I have cards through many of the sub-prime lenders and I was looking to start moving up in the world of credit...I sent the application through and I was approved for a CL of $1000...it was a nice start...fast forward to today and I contacted the bank to inquire about other cards they issue and/or a CL increase...I was told the offers come from their marketing department but the rep would see if I was pre-approved for anything...I was offered an CL increase of $2500 to bring the CL up to $3500...there was no hard pull that I was made aware of...it was based on my relationship and how I use this card...making multiple payments per month instead of just one at the due date has worked well for me...
