Review: Hi, guys I have this card... And I can tell you it is ok to start with... BUT I would highly recommend getting rid of it as soon as possible... I have not yet... But will be shortly... They charge monthly maintenance fees plus a 5.00 fee to pay online..(each payment) and they do not give increases. I have not had a great experience with this card... Would defiantly recommend HSBC or something else to start your credit.

Review: I just received my card, and have had NO problems. Sub-prime credit does suck, yes, I know... However, for those of us that are trying to establish or re-establish credit, these are the offers available, and with them come fees. I have had a good experience... It took a bit to finally get my card in the mail, however, I paid the $20, and I have the $70 available, and the CLI system they have is awesome! This is perfect for me, at this particular stage in my "credit" and financial life. Soon, of course, if I keep paying and maintaining my card, my situation will change, it can change, and I will be in a better position to avoid high sub-prime like fees. I don't expect anything different from cards like these, I read the paperwork, and I know what I am getting into, and everyone else should.

Review: When I got a copy of my credit report from freecreditreport.com they recommended me to apply for Salute. So I did, I have a limit of $300. I applied 5/2008 it took approx. 2weeks for me to get my card. I called the # that was listed on the letter and paid my $20 fee, through the automated system. I was scared at first because I didn't speak with a LIVE person. Now remember you will need your banks routing # & checking account #, I was hoping this automated system wouldnt withdrawl all my savings by accident.."fingers -crossed"LOL but NO they didn't. It took about 5 dys for them to take my $20 out. I also called and spoke with a live person and asked how can I get my husband on the account. To my surprise the lady from India was sooo sweet... She added his name with no extra fees to my account. So now he has his own Salute gold card with his own name on it... Whooopy! Todays date is 5/29/2008 He got his card on Tuesday... The 27th.

Review: As we know, I've been waiting for my increase on this card... They put that $150 annual fee on my anniversary date. 3 days later they put the $6 monthly fee... Yesterday they waived $50 off the annual fee. Today I went on line and got a $150 CLI. Not too bad. Made me feel like I got a $200 CLI since they waived $50 off the annual fee. Started 7/07 with $300 CL. Now $600 after one year. No too bad... But Tribute was a bit better.

Review: Just got this card a couple days ago. 300 limit after you make a 30 payment. Yeah, yearly fees are jacked but it will help rebuild credit and then its gone!

Review: This card is an absolute scam. They give you a limit of about 300. They charge you a fee just to start using the card. Then they eventually cancel the card on you leaving you with interest payments and fees when you can not even use the card anymore if you wanted to. Then they are allowd to just keep charging you interest and monthly fees on a service that is not even being provided. The only service being provided is ripping you off as a customer. DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! This card is a SCAM...
