Balance act Reviewer: Bob Hundley Date: July 26, 2007 Rating: It's a balancing act...adding to your frequent flyer mileage versus BoA rates and charges. If you pay off the full amount each month, this card can work ok. However, if you carry a charge through, expect BoA to get their big share. Watch out when you close the account. The "procedure" can take several months of additional charges once you think you've paid the closing balance with customer service. Of course, it's written in fine print so it's not BoA's fault that you get charged $15 for payment by phone to close the account in the next billing statement after closure. And there's the $15 late fee if you think you're done closing the account when you made the call...and the fincance charges on the $15 which carry over into the next month... In summary, you get the feeling they are owed when feeding you mileage and they get it one way or another. Watch the fine print on this one! 130 out of 237 found this review helpful.
