Title: Card Arrived Today July 14th, 2005
Date Reviewed: 2005-07-14 21:54:09 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Card arrived today. First payment of $40 is due on Aug. 5th. This card must be fairly new because I haven't seen much of anything about it online. $50 dollars available but I don't plan to touch it until I've put my first $100 dollar payment down first so that there are no "accidents." They "reserve the right" to cancel your card if you don't use it in the first 2 months. Patience is a virtue... Ah well. Also I think this is the price you pay to rebuild your credit, but it will only build your credit if they report to the CR agencies while your account is in good standing. Does anyone know if they do? They don't talk that up at all, so I get the feeling they may not. We'll see. I'll review again and give a better review if they post my payments on-time and don't di*k me around. You are notified when you activate that you CAN'T use your card to pay-at-the-pump, you must go inside with it to pay. I will give this card a lower review if I find out they don't report to any of the CRA's, let's hope that they hold up their end of the deal and wish us all luck.

Title: Not Bad

Review: Ive had this card a couple of yrs now. When I first got it, they would increase your credit limit 100.00 every 3 months and charge you 25.00 to do so, however this summer they stopped that and you have to call and request it. Overall, I've never had a problem with it, I use it to order stuff online only, so if it gets "hacked" I'm not at a big loss. I have since acquired regular credit cards, ie amex, but still keep this open. They do report to the credit bureaus.

Title: Rewards 660 Is Too Much Of A Hassle
Date Reviewed: 2006-11-22 17:18:36 | Recommended?: No

Review: Stay away from this card. If you need credit help, get Orchard Bank or First Premier. This card comes with too many limitations, like cannot use at a gas pump and you cannot make more than one payment in a month!!! HELLO stupid! Plus their offer of increasing your credit limit after making 3 consecutive payments on time was actually after 4 months. Always a string attached. Stick with Orchard or First Premier, no strings! Better online service and payment methods!!

Title: Bad Or Not So Bad

Review: I think that this program is pretty nice for the people with less than perfect credit. Look at it this way, They are giving us the opportunity that no one else would. I am thankful with that retrospect. The timing for the card's arrival was excellent. I was very pleased with the explanation of the program and how it works and the customer service was good. I do think however, that the Bank is taking advantage of us and our bad situations. First of all, it is true that they don't want you to pay at the pump. Secondly, they want you to pay on time but they charge you $6.95 to do so... On top of that you have to wait for until forever for the payment to post to your account. My final complaint is that they do not allow online access how fun is that?

Title: Posting Payments

Review: I received card promptly, activated it and made a full payment. That was November 20,2006 as of this date November 28,2006 I still have not been credit and the check cleared on 22 November 2006. I was told by customer service at first it would take 7 days to clear an EFT payment today they say it is in the terms it takes 14 days and that is "baloney" They use my money but I have $53 in available credit. So I checked the terms and this is what they said:    By sending a check on your Account, you are authorizing us to use the information on your check to make a one-time electronic funds transfer from the checking or other deposit account on which the check is drawn. This electronic funds transfer, which may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day we receive your payment, will be only for the amount of your check. The original check will be destroyed and we will retain its image in our records. To elect not to have your check processed electronically or to ask any questions you may have, call 1-800-653-4570.  Can anyone tell me what the law says. I am contacting my State Banking Commission to see if this is legal.

Review: Be smart..! Run from this card..! HERE's a surefire way to rebuild your credit and AVOID THESE credit criminals. You've got to be crazy to pay... Annual Fee of $48.00, a one-time Account Set-Up Fee of $97.00, a one-time Program Fee of $95.00, and monthly Participation Fee of $10.00. THATS $168.00 annually just to have these piece of crap plastic..!! Go to your local bank, open a SAVINGS account with the $250.00 these criminals want for a annual fee. Then have your bank issue you a SECURED credit card with the $250.00 you deposited. Use your card monthly, pay balance in FULL monthly. ADD to your savings and checking account. In 1 year you'll have a great banking relationship rebuilt and you're on your way!

Title: What Should You Expect?
Date Reviewed: 2006-12-16 22:07:51 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Guys come on!! Think about it. Your credit is shot. So you cant really expect much. If you want great credit offers you must have great credit. This card may not be the best but for the credit I have it makes a perfect match. On the other hand we don't deserve to be screwed. But sometimes you have to take chances. Especially when you neglect your credit there's always consequences and I'm only 21 and I've learned that as an adult.

Title: Catch 22
Date Reviewed: 2006-12-26 16:40:35 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I've tried several different unsecured credit cards for bad credit and by far this is the least heinous. Yes all the fees are ridiculous but hey we did it to ourselves. I've had his card for 2 years. The 2 best things about it is 1) they do report monthly to all 3 credit reporting agencies and 2) as long as you're in good standing every 3 months you can get a credit limit increase (up to $2000). The first year it's automatic every 3 months with a $25 credit limit increase charge. After the 1st year, they'll notate it on your statement and you have x-amount of time to call them and request the additional credit limit. With the help of this card and due diligence I've gone form a credit standing of weak to fair. You gotta start somewhere.

Title: 2 Years And No Problems Yet
Date Reviewed: 2006-12-26 23:53:11 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I have had this card approx 2 yrs now. I knew I was getting juiced by the fees but had no real choice and needed to clean up my credit. I have never had to call customer service, I have never gotten ripped off by a fee that I wasn't aware of, I pay my bill every month on time 10 days prior to it being due. I use this card ONLY for internet purchases, never carrying it in my wallet and I do fine. They do report to the bureaus and thanks, in part, to this card I have applied for and received "regular" credit cards thru Chase and Am Ex. The credit card has a low 500 limit ( I had the chance but chose not to increase it) so if the number gets stolen or hacked I'm limiting my exposure. I like it and have found as long as you follow the rules, in most cases, it will do you fine.

Title: Good Way To Rebuild Credit
Date Reviewed: 2006-12-27 03:43:47 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I highly recommend this card. They only report to transunion, but it has helped to rebuild my credit. I am able to get regular credit cards now but I keep the card to maintain my credit score. Those who complain... Please don't complain about the fees, this card is for those who want to rebuild their credit history, which means they have done something to screw their credit up in the first place... And so ( fees) are the price you must pay to correct your flawed credit.

Title: Card Did Me Good
Date Reviewed: 2007-01-18 02:48:36 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Opened a CC acct with this card in Feb 05. Paid the fees, always received my bill, never had to call and cuss out anybody, matter of fact, never called at all! Paid my bill on time and never had a problem. Called last month to cancel the card, the next day it was canceled, they even reversed my 8.00 monthly fee without me having to ask when I closed it!! Play by the rules, always keep your balance 50.00 lower then what your credit limit is just in case you get gouged by a fee because of late mail etc and you should be ok. I recommend this card.

Title: No Problems...
Date Reviewed: 2007-02-21 20:09:18 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I got this card 3 months ago. I've read all the stories about people losing their money, paying their bill, and not being credited, but I have had no problems. I have called customer service a few times, and they have never been rude.

Title: Ok Card, But I Have Issues
Date Reviewed: 2007-04-28 16:47:03 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I have had this card slightly over two years now. I only keep it because of the history, looks good on credit report. They only report to TransUnion. I always get an increase every 3 months, started at $300 limit, currently at $1000, with a maximum limit of $2000, so I'm half way there. Dakota State bank owns the card now, but my account is still under the old MetaBank terms, thank goodness. Now you are capped at $1000, and they only give $50 increases every 6 months, but I receive $100 increases every 3 months. I HATE having to call in to request the increase. They rep asks you too many questions. Your name, your address, your ss#, your home phone, your work phone, your cell phone, your e mail--5 minutes to go through all that. My other cards ask for name and last 4 of social... They want your life story for "security reasons". I'm a busy person, I just want my increase, I'm entitled to it. Cant use it at pay at the pump, not good for cash, only $25 at a time, and charge $5 for that. Excellent on line management and bill pay, at least that is free. Available credit updates next day IF you pay with credit/debit card or moneygram, otherwise 14 day hold till available credit updated. I don't even use mine anymore, just keep it because it the longer account I've had after my bankruptcy. Lots of fees. $8/month participation fee/ $48 annual fee $25 credit limit increase fee.

Review: So far, so good... I never really had credit to begin with. I applied for this card and got it in just five days. Customer Service seems to be pretty good and I don't mind paying the set-up fees and monthly fee. I only worry about my payments being posted on-time because I'm hearing that that is an issue. In all, I think I have made a good decision to help get my credit "up there."

Title: Cardholders Compromised
Date Reviewed: 2007-09-05 22:28:12 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: An employee has stolen information from Reward 660 Card holders. The letter states that he sold the credit card number and expiration date to direct marketing companies but they do not believe social security numbers were involved. (Yeah right...) Watch you mail box for a new credit and a different card number. If you have online access make sure you view your information as far as credit limits and balances and make sure they are correct!

Title: IT TOOK 5 MONTHS TO GET MY REFUND
Date Reviewed: 2008-02-03 07:25:56 | Recommended?: No

Review: I was approved for $300 in September. Got the card in about a week. I paid $40 because of the upfront fees ($250). They put a hold on my account for no reason, telling me because they couldn't contact my employer. Telling me it was the wrong number. So I canceled it. They told me you should get the refund check in a month. Till this week I got the refund check. DONT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, ITS A RIP OFF!!! If you can go with Orchard Bank (via HSBC) go with them, Had It with no problems for about 2 Months. AKCREDIT!!!

Title: Applied:waiting For Approval

Review: Today I aplied for a Rewards 660 Visa. I should find out soon IF I'm approved. IF I am then this one will go in my "sockdrawer" I already have 9 other credit cards that I rotate on a regular basis. This will help with my overall credit picture. It's vastly improved from even a year ago. A year ago I was at an even 500 FICO score. Now it's just shy of 600. I'm getting there!

Title: Am I Building Credit The Best Way?
Date Reviewed: 2008-03-10 04:36:48 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Ok, here is the deal. I am trying to build credit like everyone else. I am in my early 30's never had credit. Had a judgment ($2500) that is about 8 years old I tried to pay but I am unable to locate them and the courts were not of any help. Also have a large medical that has never showed up on my reports. I just started to try to build credit. I just got the Rewards 660, paid all the fee's at once and have a 0 balance. I have a First Premier card on the way (I will also pay all their fees at once. I also applied for a Applied bank card and it shows that it is "pending" still (if approved I will pay all fees at once). I will always keep my balances under 35%. I don't need these cards for my living expenses just a a credit tool. Am I doing the right things to build my credit quickly? I am also thinking about getting a secured loan at my credit union for about 1 or 2 grand Am I doing the right things or am I be to aggressive? Like I said I don't "need" the cards for my living expenses just as a tool for credit building.

Title: CLI?
Date Reviewed: 2008-04-22 06:54:14 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Yeah, Yeah... I know this card sucks. I've had it since October, and was wondering if any other cardholders could tell me when they give CLIs (If ever?). I'm at right about the 6 month mark, so I'm assuming they should throw me some type of bone (however little) in the near future.

Title: BOOOOO!
Date Reviewed: 2008-05-13 09:28:32 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Not to complain or anything. I realize I have crappy credit, and it's all my fault. I opened up 10 cards 6 months ago - some more 'subprime' then others. Continental Finance, Capital One, Hooters, and everything in-between. I've laid off getting new credit and am working on CLI's. Today was my 6 month anniversery for Rewards 660. I called them up, talked to a nice man, and inquired about a limit increase. He congratulated me on my on-time payments, not going over the limit, and keeping my utlization low... He actually said "Wow, very good." So I'm getting ready for a $100 or more credit increase and he says "You qualify for $50"... What a buzzkill. I took it, no fee attached... But it still seems pretty trivial. I guess when you think about it, it's a 17% increase in credit... Blah...

Title: Not The Worst
Date Reviewed: 2008-06-19 07:16:18 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: This was the first card that I applied for about 9 months ago when I started rebuilding. Similar to cards like Continental Finance and First Premier, this card charges nearly $250 worth of fees. The fees suck, but some people have no other choice. One positive aspect of this card is that they give $75 CLIs every 3 months. It isn't amazing, but better then the others - and they don't charge for CLI's. In my opinion, Rewards and Tribute are among the best of the 'lowest tier' cards. My credit limit with rewards started at $300 and is now up to $525, which isn't that bad. If your FICO is above 550, I wouldn't recommend this card. Try Capital One, Orchard, Macy's, etc. First. Mine was 600 when I applied, but I wasn't well informed about credit at the time - I thought that NOBODY would give me credit. I have since went with Capital One, Hooters, Orchard, and a few department store cards. As the title says, it's not the worst - but definitely not the best. If you're in a position where secured isn't an option (perhaps a ChexSystems notation), this card is good if your score is between 400 and 550.

Title: Decent For Rebuilding
Date Reviewed: 2008-08-22 10:32:48 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: Yes, the fees are high. However, they don't charge for the 75.00 credit limit increases every 90 days. Decent for rebuilding and thus far customer service has been very friendly and helpful. I decided to make my payments by money gram to make life easier and so far so good. This and a crown jewelers are my only two accounts so I'm just starting...=-)

Title: Decent Card...
Date Reviewed: 2008-09-14 00:51:30 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I found this card to be pretty decent. Of course the fees are high, but I can not complain as this is a subprime card. The customer service is great. They waived the over the phone fee everytime I paid them, and that payment posts immediately the next day if paid before 2:00p. M. I am going on my second CLI of $75.00, and it's automatic, I do not have to call it in. Overall, it's a pretty decent card. All of my friends have prime cards like Chase, Discover, Amex, etc. When I pull this one out they all seem to have the same reaction, curious as to what kind of card this is and who issues it... Lol. The only downside of this card is it only goes to a maximum of 2k CLI, and you can not use at the pump, I expected the fees when I researched the card, so I don't really consider that to be a downside. I would recommend this card for anyone rebuilding their credit.

Title: ACCTS SUSPENDED - Selling To META
Date Reviewed: 2008-12-10 14:16:57 | Recommended?: No

Review: I received a letter in the mail yesterday informing me that my account will be suspended for an undetermined time while they sell the card to MetaBank. So, everyone with a Rewards 660 card, to prevent embarassment, don't use it! I will be calling to complain, expecting a monthly fee and partial annual fee refund!
