FAQ about this page (rewards)

What information will I need when I apply? Most card companies require at a minimum: Current address, phone number, social security number, recent work history (at least 2 years), mother's maiden name, and total income. You can get more details after you click on the "apply now" link for each card offer.

How are these cards ranked? Cards are listed by our staffs recommendation. Typical APR's, fees, and card popularity are used to determine this ranking. Please keep in mind that issuers do not typically set a standard APR for all applicants. Your credit score and other factors are most likely used when they determine the offer they provide you.

How are rewards used? Please read the programs terms and conditions for further details.

How long does it take to get approved? In most cases, instantly (30 seconds). If there are questionable factors to issue you credit, it may take up to a couple of weeks by postal mail.

How long does it take to receive my card? Please read the issuers statement because this may vary, but the typical time is from 2 to 4 weeks.

What kind of credit rating do I need to get these cards? We recommend that you have a credit score of at least 550 to consider qualifying for these cards. However, in some cases, you may get approved if you have less than 500, but may pay higher interest rates or fees. If you do not know your score, consider looking it up. If you feel confident that you have good credit (600 or higher based on the national average), you can be more choosy about picking a card with low rates and no fees. If you believe that you do not qualify for a card geared towards good ratings, please feel free to check out this section for poor or slow histories.
