Title: This Card Is Super

Date Reviewed: 2008-11-12 14:27:11 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I have had this card for 4 months now. They report to all 3 credit b's. And when i call them i get fast service. I even had an issue with an un auth charge and they removed it for me with in a week. And once i hit my 6 month term i will get a credit limit increase. When i applied for this card is was a 200 credit limit. And not only that i can make my monthly payments online or at any store that sells there reload cards. And last but not least it is reported on all 3 b as a credit card(no pre paid). I will keep this card. Becouse they have been nothing but a blesing in regards to boosting my scores.

Title: Great...at First

Date Reviewed: 2008-02-21 12:07:20 | Recommended?: No

Review: At first i thought this would be a great card for me. I filed bk in jan of 2005 and applied for this card 6 months later. Annual fee was $150 and $6. 50 a month. I went from a credit limit of $300 to $750 in a years time. They dropped the annual fee down to $100. Applied for cap1 and got it so i paid this card off and canceled it last month. one thing i will say is that they report to the credit bureaus on time and they did help my score but would i do it over again? No thanks.

Title: Seems Like A Good Card

Date Reviewed: 2007-10-28 01:38:26 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I have applied for this card from this site and i got approval for $3000. 00. I think it is a good start. They seem to be little bit cautious in the beginning until few payments made. That is understandable. I am very happy to get a good visa card for my small business. I recommend this card for any who want to have the convenience of business card and easy approval.

Title: **Questions**

Date Reviewed: 2007-10-06 14:55:33 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: After reading a posting from dm getting a call from aspire to increase limit and reduce apr, i called them, and thought what the heck... I have had this card for almost 3 years, never had a late pmt, or went over my credit line and now have had a zero balance for 3 months. My limit is $900. 00. So i called them to ask about an increase in limit and also a reduction in my apr, and i was told that they have no way of doing this, that everything is done on a computer generated basis. So they could not do a manual review. I said ok. And since my hubby and i have recently got 2 hooters cards, carnival cruise mastercard, direct rewards discover, 3 capital ones, and 2 targets, i will let aspire go... Thanks for all the input and reviews from everyone.

Title: Never Had A Problem

Date Reviewed: 2007-09-27 02:40:23 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I am not shocked by some of the postings about this card, but i have had this card since 2005, and i have always paid my bill and kept my balance down. They have given me 5 credit increases and also decreased my annual fee to $ 39. 00. I personally have never had an issue. I got this card to rebuild after a chap 7 bk. I currently do not have a balance and plan to close since getting my new hooters card...

Title: The Biggest Headace

Date Reviewed: 2007-09-26 14:40:53 | Recommended?: No

Review: I was a single mom and thought this card would help if i got into a bind. When i used it and tried paying my bill via phone i had nothing but trouble. After one year i decided it was not worth the hassle and canceled. After i canceled i received new cards. Like a dummy i kept them and used it once more and that has been the worst nightmare. I paid it off and was told i had a $12 balance, i paid it again via phone and was then told the $25 late charge they applied would be taken off. That $25 is now over $350 and they will not take it off and it is now on my credit report plus every month some collector is trying to get me to pay at least 1/2 and it will be taken care of. I heard that once or twice before and where did that get me - no where. Do not get this card for any reason, they will be in your live and credit forever!!!

Review: They claim i have already applied within 90 days, i have never applied from this company before. There are not listed on my credit report (inquiries) maybe this is an excuse for the word "no".

Title: Aspire Visa Is Crooked

Date Reviewed: 2007-07-23 15:56:10 | Recommended?: No

Review: My husband has had this card for 5 years, and they have always been hard to deal with when there's a problem. Right now, they are claiming they did not receive our last payment, even though i have the canceled check to prove it. They have shut down the account and continue to charge late fees, even though we have proof they were paid. Our bank has even called them on our behalf, and it gets us nowhere. And calling customer service is a joke. We were on hold for over an hour this morning before giving up. It's hard to fix the problem when you don't ever get to talk to someone about it. I do not recommend this card. It sucks, to be mild about it.

Title: Crooks

Review: Don't waste time getting this card if trying to build credit rating use hsbc, orchard, direct merchants bank. Bank of america, target redcard, macys those are the best cards to get while rebuilding your credit low af. Stay away from aspire, first premier or those with fees for everything! You shouldn't have to sell your soul to the devil just to rebuild your credit geez!!!

Title: Aspire Visa

Date Reviewed: 2007-07-13 01:19:58 | Recommended?: No

Review: Signed on because of no annual fee one year later they hit me with an $85. 00 annual fee and charged the card with fees ect. Made me owe like over $100. 00 pmt. I didn't expect and wasn't ready for, so then i got a late charge slapped on top of that!!! So now to get straight i owe $ 164. 00. I don't have it, tried to talk to them... I'm screwed! Stay away from any visa!!

Title: A Little Shaky If You Ask Me...

Date Reviewed: 2007-06-27 21:12:54 | Recommended?: No

Review: I don't know, i have mixed feelings about them. I've had aspire over a year and a half now, and i recently got married. I told them to change my name on the card and they sent me 3 cards with the same last name that was there already. 3 months later i'm still calling them about name change requests, and they told me they needed a copy of my marriage certificate again. I sent it to them the first three times!! Meanwhile every time they sent the wrong card i'd call and i was given the run around speaking to reps about they're incompetence. Once i was on hold for 50 minutes trying to get a supervisor! If they cant get that right, i'd hate to need them for an emergency!!

Title: Good Experiences Only

Date Reviewed: 2007-06-26 17:18:11 | Recommended?: Yes

Review: I have been reading some of these horror stories and i have to say i have had nothing but good experiences with my aspire account. I got this card as my first card out of bankruptcy. I've had it for over a year now and i am completely happy with it. They have always been great to work with. Part of the problem a lot of people seem to be having is the fees. I was given the terms up front and have had no surprises. I would definitely recommend this card to anyone with credit problems, it has helped me turn things around, even through a job loss and some sketcy payments, they have worked with me.

Title: Liars

Date Reviewed: 2007-06-12 22:03:27 | Recommended?: No

Review: They told me someone canceled my card and couldn't tell me who. The only thing they could say was nothing. I will never reopen my account with them and urge no one else to either.

Title: Closed Account After Paying

Date Reviewed: 2007-06-07 01:37:47 | Recommended?: No

Review: Okay so i got behind on my payments... My fault, i take the blame. However, after talking to them and the rep. Telling me that i needed to pay $50. 00 to catch up, i did. Then 5 days later i payed a additional 400 to get the balance to $100. 00. I called to check my available credit and to my surprise my account was closed. They said they closed it because the bank wanted to and i could do nothing about it. I called and tried to get an explanation and after multiple phone calls and e-mails with no response i stopped. Horrible...

Title: Everything Is Scripted

Date Reviewed: 2007-06-05 16:54:15 | Recommended?: No

Review: Ask for a higher credit limit and they will read you some bull. Ask what the qualifications are and they will avoid the question. Interest rate is 29% and i do not have any other credit cards higher than 19%.

Title: DEFINITELY CROOKED

Date Reviewed: 2007-05-22 00:33:27 | Recommended?: No

Review: I received this card about 6 months ago. I have been charged a fee to have the card, a fee because of credit problems, a maintenance fee and all that before i even started to use this card. I am unable to get any kind of response on the telephone nor on their "new" internet site. Can't wait to get rid of this piece of crap card. Hope any prospective customers read this before applying for this card. Don't do it!!!

Title: Aspire Card -nightmare

Date Reviewed: 2007-05-02 03:21:54 | Recommended?: No

Review: If there was one thing that i could take back, it was getting this absolutely horrible aspire card. I had perfect credit until katrina. I lost my home and my job and had to declare bankruptcy. These guys were the first to contact me about re-establishing my credit. Sounded good as i was looking at seven years of no credit. These people don't have a contact email, no phone number, absolutely nothing. They raise their fees and percentages at random. I can't even get a statement with a balance so that i can pay it off. I am an attorney, and they are going down. Please, please, please don't!

Title: Aspire Thieves

Date Reviewed: 2007-04-27 18:19:03 | Recommended?: No

Review: I was suckered into this card over the phone by a woman speaking a mile a minute... Who i could barely understand. I said what the hell to shut her up and accepted. This company is horrible. The only credit card company that charges for an online payment. I was forced twice to pay online because they sent their statements so late. You literally get in the mail and have to send it out that day or you're late. They've made no money off of me though. I pay the new balance every month and they just keep raising my credit limit. I'm closing it out this month though- it's not worth the hassle. By far the worst credit card and service in history.

Title: Sub-Standard All Around

Date Reviewed: 2007-04-24 19:11:59 | Recommended?: No

Review: The customer service department that handles this card is sub-standard, rude, and barely possess knowledge of the english language (making communication quite difficult). I unfortunately had this card for 2 years and it was excruciatingly painful each time i had to deal with customer service. I highly do not recommend this card. It will only complicate your life and bring you suffering and pain. (and that is putting it mildly).
